2023 - LADIES LEAGUE SEASON FINALE
It was a full house on September 6th as 44 participants from the Legacy Pines Ladies League wrapped up a very fun and successful golf league season. We had just over 50 ladies signed up for Ladies League this year and the team captain’s planned some fun games for everyone each week. Captains Betty Turzer, Cheryl Babcock and Barb Goodhand created an amazing season finale. The ladies enjoyed a meal catered by Gourmandissimo with libations and some great desserts in a beautifully decorated room. Appreciation was shown for the Captains, who are looking forward to a break before planning for the 2024 season.
2023 - RYDER CUP
The annual Legacy Pines Ryder Cup was back for 2023 with two mixed teams of 16 golfers each. Under the guidance of Bob Vaughan and Paul Colin, Team Captains Andrew Sikorski (America) and Cheryl Babcock (Europe) picked their team rosters for the matches and battled it out during four days of competition September 11th to September 14th. It was a tightly fought match all week, with Team Europe leading going into the final matches 15 1/2 points to 8 1/2 points. Some ground was lost in the final matches, but Team Europe was successful in winning the cup again for 2023. As always there was plenty of team spirit and camaraderie and the event culminated with celebratory dinner at the clubhouse.
